Bene Israel Jews of India and their descendants all over the world supposedly number around 100,000 (while only 4,000+ are left in India). This group is an attempt to try and prevent the Bene Israel identity from being lost in the cauldron of worldwide Judaism even with our community scattered all over the world. Even people who have partial Bene Israel parentage qualify to be members. |
